Espara's Grapefruit Seed Essence is made from the seeds of the grapefruit and nothing else. They are distilled using a method that goes back to Paracelsus and bottled in a 30 ml dropper bottle at 16% vol.
Grapefruit seed is a name many people know from the concentrated extract sold in health food shops. This essence is something different. Instead of a concentrate, you get an alcoholic distillate made the way alchemical herbalists have prepared plants for centuries.
If you like to know exactly what you are taking, the ingredient list could hardly be shorter. The small bottle fits in any bag, and the drops need no preparation before a meal.
The method comes from the 16th-century physician Paracelsus, who saw every plant as a trinity to be separated, purified and reunited. The Austrian brand Espara offers a whole range of these essences; this one is made in Germany. You will find the other varieties in our Essences category.
Take 15 drops twice a day before meals (drip under the tongue or take with water). Shake well before use.

What is behind alchemical essences?
