Most people get enough copper from a varied diet. Good sources are nuts, seeds, wholegrains, pulses and cocoa.

In food supplements, copper is usually combined with other minerals and less often sold on its own.

Zinc and copper: High amounts of zinc over a long period can reduce copper absorption. That is why some zinc products also contain a little copper.
Add up the amounts: Copper is often found in multivitamins and mineral blends. Stick to the recommended intake on each product.
With a meal: Copper is usually well tolerated with a meal.
Read the label: Every product page shows how much copper the daily serving contains.
