Question about item
Eating well every day was the plan – two capsules are plan B
Optiolex Basis X brings together vitamins, minerals and secondary plant compounds in one compact daily dose – created by an Austrian brand.
You know those weeks when lunch disappears into the meeting calendar and dinner is whatever the fridge offers? Five portions of fruit and veg a day stay theoretical. A reliable nutrient base is meant for exactly those stretches – not as a substitute for good food, but as a back-up.
Two capsules give you a broad spectrum: the complete B group, vitamins A, C, D and E, and trace elements from zinc to selenium – most of them at or above the daily reference value. On top of that comes a package of plant compounds that classic multivitamins often leave out. And because it all fits into two small capsules, taking it stays practical.
There is a clear idea behind the formula: in food, vitamins never occur in isolation but alongside secondary plant compounds – Basis X deliberately mirrors that combination. It was designed as a foundation you can top up with single-nutrient products where needed, instead of juggling five jars at once.
Take 1 capsule twice daily, unchewed, with plenty of water.

What does "standardised extract" mean?
A standardised extract is set to a defined content of its lead substance. Here that means 50% OPC in the grape seed extract, 40% ellagic acid in the pomegranate peel extract, 20% oleuropein in the olive leaf extract and 60% bioflavonoids in the bitter orange extract. You know exactly how much of each plant compound every batch contains – unlike simple plant powders, whose content naturally varies.
Which nutrient forms are in the capsules?
Several B vitamins are additionally included in their bioactive form: vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin, folate also as calcium L-methylfolate, vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5′-phosphate and vitamin B2 also as riboflavin 5′-phosphate. These are the forms the metabolism actually works with. Minerals are mostly bound as citrates, and vitamin C comes as buffered calcium L-ascorbate.
⚠️ Mandatory information: Food supplements are not a substitute for a balanced, varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not exceed the stated recommended daily dose. Pregnant women and women of childbearing age without reliable contraception must not exceed a daily dose of 1,500 µg retinol (equivalent to 5,000 IU retinol) due to the risk of birth defects; the same applies during breastfeeding. Excessive consumption may produce laxative effects.
📦 Storage: Store closed, cool, dry, protected from light and out of reach of young children.
💬 Frequently asked questions
-
Does Basis X cover my daily vitamin needs?+The daily dose provides 100 to 400% of the reference value (NRV) for almost all vitamins and trace elements it contains – from vitamin A through the B group to zinc and selenium. You can find the exact figures in the nutrition table above.
-
Why does Basis X contain only 22% NRV magnesium?+Magnesium takes up space: the full reference amount would make the capsules considerably larger or require several extra capsules. Basis X therefore includes a partial amount as citrate. If you want more magnesium, a dedicated magnesium product is the better companion.
-
Is Basis X vegan?+Yes, the product is declared vegan. The capsule shell is made from hydroxypropyl methylcellulose – a cellulose derivative – instead of gelatine.
-
What is the retinol notice on the label about?+It is the legally required warning for products containing vitamin A. With 800 µg retinol per daily dose, Basis X provides the simple reference amount – the notice refers to the upper limit of 1,500 µg per day for pregnant women and women of childbearing age without reliable contraception.
-
How is Basis X different from a drugstore multivitamin?+Classic multivitamins usually stop at vitamins and minerals. Basis X adds a broad spectrum of plant and companion compounds on top, and includes several B vitamins in their active form as well – the details are in the table and sections above.
-
How long does one jar last?+One jar holds 60 capsules. At the recommended intake of 1 capsule twice daily, it lasts exactly 30 days – a one-month supply.
