What is magnesium bisglycinate?
In bisglycinate, one magnesium ion is bound to two molecules of the amino acid glycine. This bond is called a chelate. It is an organic magnesium compound – as opposed to inorganic forms such as magnesium oxide or carbonate. Glycine is a simple amino acid that occurs naturally in the body.
Why vitamin B6 as P5P?
Pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (P5P) is the coenzyme form of vitamin B6 – the form the body uses directly. Vitamin B6 contributes to normal functioning of the nervous system and to normal energy-yielding metabolism. In this formula it complements the magnesium.
