That is where the 6-in-1 formula comes in. Rather than relying on a single magnesium compound, it combines four of them with vitamin B6 and vitamin C. The magnesium forms dissolve at different rates and complement each other across the day. The vitamin B6 is included as the active coenzyme form pyridoxal-5'-phosphate (P-5-P).

Why four magnesium forms instead of one?
Each compound brings its own profile. Tri-magnesium dicitrate and magnesium malate are organic forms that dissolve well in water. Magnesium oxide has a high magnesium content per gram. Magnesium bisglycinate is bound to the amino acid glycine (a chelate). Together the four forms make up the daily amount of 400 mg of elemental magnesium – split across two capsules.
