Four plant extracts plus zinc – your daily base
Cosmoterra's Baikal Skullcap brings together four traditional plant extracts and the trace element zinc – 90 capsules from an Austrian manufactory.
As soon as the days grow shorter, the first sniffles tend to do the rounds at work and at home. Many people then want to do something themselves – ideally with something plant-based that fits easily into the day.
This is where the complex comes in. It bundles four traditional plant extracts and adds the trace element zinc, which the body needs daily and cannot store. The extracts bring their characteristic compounds: baicalin from the Baikal skullcap root, andrographolides from the Andrographis herb, and curcuminoids from the turmeric root.
The formula is put together in an Austrian manufactory. Baikal skullcap has been a fixture of Traditional Chinese Medicine for centuries and originally grows around Lake Baikal. Andrographis, meanwhile, is known for its intense bitter compounds as the "king of bitters".
Take 1 capsule three times daily with plenty of liquid.

Why does the body need zinc at all?
Zinc is an essential trace element – the body cannot make it itself and can barely store it. That is why a regular supply through the diet makes sense. It is involved in numerous enzymatic processes in the metabolism. One daily dose of these capsules covers 150 % of the nutrient reference value (NRV).
What is Baikal skullcap – and where does the name come from?
Baikal skullcap (botanically Scutellaria baicalensis) is a member of the mint family, originally growing around Lake Baikal, in Mongolia and in parts of China. It is mainly the dried root that is used, known in TCM as "Huang-qin". The "skullcap" name refers to the helmet-shaped flowers. Its characteristic compound is baicalin.
