nutri+ VHEY® Protein Bar Peanut Caramel wraps a soft centre of roasted peanuts and caramel-flavour filling in dark chocolate. The protein comes from pea and rice, and a 50 g bar holds just 1 g of sugar.

Pea and rice protein, no dairy
Pea protein isolate, pea protein and rice protein deliver 11 g per bar. High in protein, with just over 20 % of the energy from protein. Protein contributes to the maintenance of muscle mass.

Soft centre with 14 % roasted peanuts
Add 11 % caramel-flavour filling and a 25 % dark chocolate coating. Sweet with a hint of salt, and the nut pieces give it real bite.

High in fibre, low in sugar
16 g of fibre per 100 g from oligofructose, polydextrose and acacia fibre. Maltitol and a touch of sucralose do the sweetening, and there is no palm oil.
A bar in the gym bag, another in the glovebox, one more for the sofa. Peanut caramel is one of those snacks people reach for without thinking, and the usual chocolate bar mostly brings sugar with very little protein.
nutri+ kept the familiar format and swapped what goes inside. Plant proteins bring the protein content to 21 g per 100 g, while maltitol takes over most of the sweetening. One bar contains 8.5 g of polyols, which is why the wrapper notes that eating too much may have a laxative effect.
nutri+ is the plant-based brand of Nutrition-Plus GmbH in Grafschaft, Rhineland-Palatinate. The bar was created in cooperation with PETA and carries the vegan symbol. nutri+ publishes a separate lab analysis for each VHEY® bar flavour, the Peanut Caramel one dated February 2026.

Is it gluten-free and soy-free?+
The recipe contains no gluten cereals and no soy, and nutri+ describes the bar as gluten-free and soy-free. It is also vegan and lactose-free. If you are allergic to peanuts, though, this one is not for you.

How does it compare with the VHEY® Protein Wafer?+
The wafer is a crisp, wheat-based 40 g bar. This one has a soft peanut centre, weighs 50 g and contains no wheat. Both give you 11 g of protein, but the Peanut Caramel bar has far more fibre at 8 g.

Can I keep it in my bag in summer?+
Best not. The dark chocolate softens above 18 °C, and sunlight dulls the coating. Stored somewhere cool and dry, the chocolate and caramel centre stay as they should.

Why the laxative note on the wrapper?+
Maltitol is a sugar alcohol. Food law requires this note once polyols exceed 10 % of a product. One bar contains 8.5 g.
