Question about item
Frankincense the way you remember it
Indigo Frankincense Aden is first-grade frankincense with a fine, classic scent and a light lemony note. It comes from the frankincense tree Boswellia carteri.
Most people picture exactly this scent when they think of frankincense: fine, clear and a little lemony. Frankincense Aden is the classic among the varieties.
In Oriental cultures frankincense is called “the one that makes divine”, and in incense tradition it is associated with the masculine principle. Indigo describes it as a resin that “simply amplifies what is already there”.
The grains come from the frankincense tree Boswellia carteri. Indigo fills them in first grade in 30 g jars. Frankincense Aden is also part of many Indigo blends, such as Wishing Well and Root Chakra.
Hold the incense charcoal with tongs over a flame to light it and place it on shell sand in a fireproof vessel. Let it glow for about 15 minutes until it is covered with white ash. Then add one or two frankincense grains with an incense spoon. Enjoy the scent as if smelling a flower, do not inhale it. If it starts to smell burnt, lift the remains off with the spoon and smother them in the sand.
