Question about item
Not a fan of capsules? Stir your vitamin C into breakfast instead
Espara Acerola Vitamin C is a fruit powder made from organically grown acerola. Two level scoops a day go into water, juice, yoghurt or muesli.
Breakfast is the one meal most people never skip, even on busy mornings. Adding a scoop of powder to your glass or bowl is easier than remembering yet another capsule.
Acerola is a small red cherry from tropical regions, known for the amount of vitamin C in its flesh. Vitamin C contributes to normal collagen formation for the normal function of blood vessels, bones, cartilage, gums, skin and teeth. It also contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress.
The powder comes from Espara, an Austrian maker of supplements and herbal essences. The acerola is grown outside the EU and certified organic by the Austrian control body AT-BIO-301.
Twice a day, stir 1 level measuring scoop into water or juice and drink, or mix into cold foods such as yoghurt or muesli.

💬 Frequently asked questions
-
Can I stir it into hot tea or porridge?+Better not. Vitamin C is sensitive to heat, so some of it is lost in hot drinks or freshly cooked food. Use water, juice, yoghurt or muesli, or let warm porridge cool down before adding the scoop.
-
Is vitamin C from acerola different from ascorbic acid?+The vitamin C molecule is the same. What differs is the source: here it comes from dried acerola fruit, with no ascorbic acid added. Many people simply prefer getting their vitamin C from a fruit and like a short ingredient list.
-
Does it go well with an iron supplement?+Yes, it is a common pairing, because vitamin C increases iron absorption. Espara offers Iron 14 mg plant-based, for example.
-
My new tub looks a different colour. Is that normal?+Yes. Acerola is a natural raw material and harvest and ripeness vary, which shows in the shade of the powder. The quality stays the same. The tub is not filled to the brim for technical reasons.
-
Is there a version for on the go?+The powder suits breakfast at home. For the office, travel or your bag, the Espara Acerola Vitamin C chewable tablets are easier to carry.
