Question about item
A bright scent that drifts through the room like a cloud
Indigo Mastic is the resin of the mastic shrub from the Greek island of Chios, in top quality. Its scent is lovely and warm without being sweet.
If you burn pure mastic in a room without draughts, you will notice something special: the smoke forms a closed, calm layer and drifts through the room like a floating being.
Indigo calls mastic a “bringer of light” among natural resins and recommends it for meditation and light work. The tears are translucent white to pale yellow; the pale yellow resin comes from older shrubs.
On Chios mastic has also been used in cooking for centuries, for example in pastries and liqueurs. Indigo fills the tears in top quality in 25 g jars. Mastic is also an ingredient of the Indigo blends Wishing Well and Heart Chakra.
Hold the incense charcoal with tongs over a flame to light it and place it on shell sand in a fireproof vessel. Let it glow for about 15 minutes until it is covered with white ash. Then add two or three mastic tears with an incense spoon. Enjoy the scent as if smelling a flower, do not inhale it. If it starts to smell burnt, lift the remains off with the spoon and smother them in the sand.
