Description

Clear, fresh and pure: an incense material of its own

Indigo Camphor is pure natural camphor from the camphor tree in India, for burning, in a hexagonal jar. Its scent is camphoraceous, fresh and clarifying.

❄️
Naturally camphoraceous, fresh, clarifying
A single raw material, no oil, no blend: camphor smells cool and penetrating, quite different from resins or herbs.
🌳
From the camphor tree (Cinnamomum camphora)
The evergreen camphor tree belongs to the laurel family. Indigo's camphor comes from India.
⚠️
Use with care
Camphor is highly flammable and irritates the skin. Indigo expressly advises extra care when burning it.

Anyone who knows incense blends mainly knows warm, resinous scents. Camphor is the opposite: cool, clear and so penetrating that a tiny amount is enough.

In India camphor has long been burned in rituals, for example in the light ritual Aarti. Indigo recommends burning it on its own and not combining it with other blends. Because camphor catches fire easily, it should only go on the embers in small amounts and well away from open flames.

Indigo fills the camphor pure, without additives, into a hexagonal jar with a screw lid. This keeps the volatile scent in the jar.

📋 How to use

Let the incense charcoal glow through completely on shell sand in a fireproof vessel. Then place only a very small piece of camphor on it with the incense spoon, not with your fingers. Keep away from open flames, never burn unattended and air the room afterwards.
