At its core sits a frankincense extract from Boswellia serrata with 85% boswellic acids. Alongside it are turmeric with 95% curcuminoids, ginger with gingerol, saffron with crocin and safranal, and black pepper. Its compound piperine plays a factual role: curcuminoids are normally metabolised quickly in the gut and liver – piperine slows that breakdown, keeping a moderate amount of turmeric usable.

What does "85% boswellic acids" mean?
Boswellic acids are the characteristic compounds of frankincense resin. The percentage describes how strongly the extract is standardised to them: at 85%, most of the extract consists of these compounds. Per daily dose of two capsules that's 510 mg of boswellic acids – a defined content that stays the same in every batch.
Why is piperine in the formula?
Piperine is the natural pungent compound in black pepper. Curcuminoids from turmeric are normally absorbed only to a limited extent and broken down quickly. Piperine slows this metabolic process in the gut and liver. That's why a moderate amount of turmeric can be used, rather than very high doses.

When and how is it best to take the capsules?+
2 capsules daily with plenty of liquid. As some plant compounds are fat-soluble, taking them with a meal works well. You can also split the daily dose between morning and midday.

What if I have trouble swallowing capsules?+
The capsule can be opened and its contents taken with a little solid food. Please do not dissolve it in drinks.

One tin contains 120 capsules. At 2 capsules a day, that lasts around 60 days – about two months.

Black pepper provides piperine. This plant compound slows the breakdown of curcuminoids from turmeric in the body, so a moderate amount of turmeric stays usable.
