The booster S for hard tap water in your carafe S
The Sanuslife booster filter S is a small add-on cartridge for the ECAIA carafe S. It screws onto the underside of the main filter and gives the water a longer run over ceramics.
How strongly the carafe S ionises your water depends not only on the filter but on what comes out of the tap. In areas with hard, mineral-rich water the main filter alone sometimes falls short, even with the ceramic valve almost closed.
That is what the booster is for. It hangs below the main filter, so after the carbon the water passes additional ceramics before reaching the tank. According to Sanuslife, the ceramics are tested for contaminants before they go into the cartridge.
Turn the booster filter S clockwise onto the underside of the main filter S until it sits firmly. Prepare the main filter as usual and press both into the upper container together. For hygiene reasons, always replace the booster together with the main filter.

How do I know whether I need the booster?
Measure the pH of your filtered water with a test strip. Then close the ceramic valve further so the water runs more slowly, and measure again. If the value stays below 8.0 even at a slow flow, the booster is the sensible addition. If it is already between 8.0 and 9.5, you do not need it.
⚠️ Notes: Use only together with the main filter S, never on its own. For hygiene reasons, replace it together with the main filter. For treating cold drinking water only.
