Carrot twice over: root extract and beta-carotene
Daucus Carota Sativa Root Extract brings the plant's own skin-conditioning compounds. Pure beta-carotene adds the soft apricot tint you see when you squeeze the tube. Both are there to nourish thin, dry skin.

Hydrolysed collagen that stays on the surface
Collagen is broken down into small, water-soluble fragments. Applied to the skin they form a moisture-holding film, so crease-prone areas look smoother and feel less tight.

Seven zones, one 100 ml tube
Backs of the hands, backs of the fingers with the nail bed, face, eye area, neck, elbows and knees. The tube meters out a small dose each time and keeps the rest sealed, so it travels well.
Hand cream tends to live in the bathroom. Dry hands, on the other hand, happen everywhere else: after the third hand wash at work, on a cold walk, once the washing-up is done. The skin on the back of the hand has very few oil glands and hardly any padding underneath, so it shows every missed application. The neck and the area around the eyes behave in much the same way.
The formula is a light oil-in-water emulsion. Soya and sunflower oil replace the lipids that soap strips away. Sorbitol and pentylene glycol hold water in the upper skin layer, and allantoin smooths rough patches on elbows and knees. A touch of dimethicone lets the cream spread thinly and sink in without tackiness, which matters when you need to pick up your keys straight afterwards. Vitamin E, ascorbyl palmitate and TBHQ keep the plant oils from going rancid over the life of the tube.

Tube or jar: which one should I pick?
Same cream, different job. The 125 ml jar holds more and suits a fixed spot on the bathroom shelf. The 100 ml tube goes anywhere, stays sealed between uses, and nothing gets into it except what comes out. If you cream your hands mainly after washing them away from home, the tube is the one that will actually get used.

Does it leave my hands greasy?+
Not in normal amounts. Dimethicone helps the cream spread in a thin layer and settle to a soft, dry-touch finish. Apply a thick layer and you will feel the soya and sunflower oil for a while longer, which some people like at bedtime.

Is the tube the same formula as the 125 ml jar?+
Same maker, same active base of hydrolysed collagen, beta-carotene and carrot-root extract. The two ingredient lists differ only in minor auxiliary ingredients. The full INCI for the tube is printed above.

Will the beta-carotene stain my skin or clothes?+
No. The tint is visible in the cream itself, not on the skin once it has absorbed. Any fresh mark on light fabric washes out like other cream residue.

Where does the collagen come from?+
Hydrolysed collagen is obtained from animal connective tissue, which is why the cream is not vegan. The manufacturer does not declare the species. If you need a plant-based alternative, send us a message and we will look through the range with you.

What is TBHQ doing in a skin cream?+
TBHQ (tert-butylhydroquinone) is an antioxidant permitted under the EU Cosmetics Regulation. It stops the plant oils in the formula from oxidising and works alongside vitamin E and ascorbyl palmitate. It sits at the very end of the ingredient list, so the amount is tiny.
