Question about item
Sprints, jumps, heavy sets: one scoop of creatine a day for the efforts that last seconds
OptioCreatin is a creatine powder from Optiolex, a brand from Austria. The jar holds a single ingredient, CreaWin® creatine monohydrate, with no flavouring, no sweeteners and no fillers.
Think of the last rep of a heavy deadlift, a sprint for the ball or a box jump. These efforts are over in seconds, and the muscle fuels them from its phosphocreatine store: quick to use, quick to run low.
Your body makes around 1 g of creatine a day, and more comes from meat and fish. If you eat little of either, you take in less. OptioCreatin adds the amount the EU claim on high intensity exercise is based on, every day: one slightly heaped measuring scoop stirred into water.
Most creatine research has been done with the monohydrate form. Optiolex uses CreaWin® as its raw material and has OptioCreatin manufactured according to GMP guidelines. You will find more from the range on the Optiolex brand page and in our sports category.
Once daily, 3.5 g (one slightly heaped measuring scoop) dissolved in 350 ml of water.

Why 3.5 g of powder for 3.08 g of creatine?
Creatine monohydrate is creatine bound to one molecule of water, which makes up around 12 % of its weight. So 3.5 g of powder contains 3.08 g of creatine, just above the 3 g a day that the EU claim refers to. Other forms such as creatine HCl or buffered creatine are marketed with smaller doses, yet the bulk of the research has been carried out with monohydrate.
