Question about item
When you want the real Ayurvedic herbal formula – not some imitation
Pilex is a classic Ayurvedic formula from Himalaya: ten plant-based ingredients pressed into one small tablet for daily use.
Search online for Ayurvedic herbs and you quickly end up with single plants in capsules, or with vaguely named "complexes". Sometimes, though, you want exactly the handed-down blend – the way it was put together, and from the maker that coined the name.
Pilex draws on a bundle of plant-based ingredients. The largest share is Guggul, the dried resin of the Commiphora mukul shrub. Alongside it sit Shilajit, a mineral-rich natural material, and the three Triphala fruits amla, haritaki and bibhitaki – along with neem, barberry and a few further plants. One daily serving is two tablets.
There is a long history behind the recipe. Himalaya was founded in India in 1930, with the aim of combining traditional plant knowledge with laboratory research. Today the company's products are sold in more than a hundred countries – and Pilex itself is one of the brand's long-standing classics.
Two tablets daily: one tablet twice a day, after meals, with water.

What's in the Pilex formula?
At its core sits Guggul – the gum-like resin tapped from the stem of the Commiphora mukul shrub, used in the Ayurvedic tradition for centuries. Shilajit is a dark, mineral-rich natural material from mountain regions. Added to these are the three fruits of the classic Triphala combination – amla, haritaki and bibhitaki – along with neem, barberry and a few further plants. The amounts above refer to the daily serving of two tablets.
