Question about item
When one sachet after another gets fiddly
The 900 g tub of Aktiv3 Isotone Energy Drink Blood Orange is the supply size for anyone who trains regularly. With the enclosed measuring scoop you mix exactly as much as you need – and set the strength yourself.
A fluid loss of just around two percent of body weight can noticeably reduce endurance performance. If you ride or run long sessions several times a week, single sachets soon reach their limit – and cost more per litre.
The tub solves both. A blend of faster- and slightly slower-available carbohydrates – maltodextrin, sucrose and isomaltulose – supplies glucose as fuel. Added to that are the electrolytes sodium, potassium, calcium and magnesium, which are lost through sweat. Because you dose it yourself, you can mix the drink lighter for easy sessions or stronger for long efforts.
The drink is made by Kräuterhaus Sanct Bernhard, which has produced specialities straight from the manufacturer in Germany since 1903. Its sports range has been used in training and competition for years – and blood orange is one of the most popular flavours.
Dissolve in water as follows: 2¼ scoops (approx. 36 g) per 500 ml, 4½ scoops (approx. 72 g) per 1000 ml. To avoid clumping, pour in the water first and then add the powder. For competitions lasting more than 1 hour, drink 500 ml in the final hour before the start. During the exercise phase we recommend drinking 150–200 ml regularly every 15–20 minutes.
