anatis Papaya Leaf Herbs, shredded

Papaya leaves are known for their enzymes, such as papain, a protein-degrading enzyme. It is composed of more than 200 amino acids and is primarily extracted from the latex of the tropical papaya plant, from the green parts of the unripe fruit, but especially from the leaves and stems. Ripe papaya fruit, on the other hand, contains very little papain.

Papaya leaves are the leaves of the papaya tree (Carica papaya), an evergreen tropical plant. The large, palmate leaves are harvested, gently dried, and shredded (into small pieces). Color: olive to dark green after drying.

Directions
Pour 3 tablespoons into 1 liter of hot water (60-80°C).
