Dietary supplement contains omega-3 fatty acids (EPA/DHA) and Astaxanthin.

Krill oil is extracted from Antarctic krill, a mini shrimp. Krill lives in huge swarms, is the most successful animal population in the world, increases rapidly and is not a predator, since it only lives from herbal microalgae. Therefore, no environmental toxins accumulate in its fat. Its catch in Antarctic waters is strictly limited, with only one tenth of the permitted quantity being harvested and again only one tenth for the production of food supplements.

Why is Krill oil so valuable? For several reasons...
Krilloil contains omega-3 fatty acids, which belong to the unsaturated fatty acids, are essential for the body and should be sufficiently present in the food, as they cannot be produced by the body itself. Omega-3 fatty acids are required daily for many bodily functions. The replacement of saturated fatty acids by simple and/or polyunsaturated fatty acids in the diet contributes, for example, to the maintenance of a normal cholesterol level in the blood. Krill oil also contains phospholipids that are responsible for an improved absorption of omega-3 fatty acids. Due to their attachment to phospholipids, the omega-3 fatty acids of the Krill oil are much easier to digest than other omega-3 sources, preferably ingested without having to be treated with bile acids and processed via the liver. Krill oil even has an ideal ratio of its omega-3 fatty acids EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) to DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

Omega-3 fatty acids in the daily dose of 250 mg EPA + DHA contribute to:

maintain a normal brain function,
maintain normal eyesight,
a normal heart function.

Premium Krill oil: Standardized content of omega-3 fatty acids and phospholipids. Natural, seasonal fluctuations of the valuable ingredients-such as in krill-catch after hibernation-are compensated for consistently high values in this standardized product.

** Astaxanthin has a number of very good properties and is therefore also available as an own nutritional supplements-agent on the market. In the case of premium Krill oil, the purchase of an additional Astaxanthin preparation is not necessary, since 4 mg Astaxanthin are already included with 2 capsules per day. Astaxanthin is an oil-soluble, strong antioxidant and reduces oxidation processes ("rancidness of fats") - this is favorable for product quality and for health! Krill feeds on microalgae, the actual source of the red dye Astaxanthin. It is naturally bound in the Krill oil and is added in the premium Krill oil even in natural form from the Haematococcus pluvialis algae. The high Astaxanthin content of the black color is visually recognizable (the capsule shell itself is colorless).
