CBD oil (cannabidiol) is extracted from hemp flower like its intoxicating counterpart THC (tetrahydrocannabinol). Together they represent the cannabinoids, the main active ingredients of the hemp plant. CBD oil comes from legally planted hemp (cannabis sattiva or cannabis indica). Commercial hemp is almost THC-free and may be sold legally. Any THC that goes beyond the legal limit is filtered out. The intoxicating effect comes from THC alone. CBD oil should not be confused with hemp oil. CBD oil is diluted with hemp oil, but the hemp oil itself contains hardly any cannabinoids.

Recommended use
