Dietary supplement with red rice extract without monacolin K, with ExoBDNF® and anthocyanins.

Traditional Chinese red yeast rice ("red rice") has been popular due to the similarity of its ingredient monacolin K to the drug class of statins. However, there are efforts to ban this ingredient in dietary supplements in the EU, as is already the case in the US. Only red rice without monacolin K is permitted there, and the only product approved by the FDA to date is red rice with ankaflavin and monascin (Ankascin® 568).

It is obtained by treating cooked white rice in a closed fermentation system with a single red yeast strain (Monascus purpureus 568), which has been researched at Taiwan University for 30 years. This process produces the metabolites ankaflavin and monascin, valuable pigments whose high concentration is responsible for the beneficial effects of Ankascin® 568.

The formula also contains the unique probiotic ExoBDNF®. Its lactobacillus strain Pediococcus acidilactici comes from strictly controlled fermentation. It is also found in the Korean dish "kimchi." Additionally, the formula offers the high antioxidant power of blueberry anthocyanins.
