That is what Kneipp designed these bath crystals for. The reddish-brown crystals dissolve completely in warm water and release devil's claw extract and essential oils. Lavender, peppermint and cajuput create a warm, spicy scent, while the formula helps your skin retain its moisture, so it does not feel dried out after bathing.
The base is pure deep salt from the Luisenhall saltworks, brought up from 460 metres below ground. Its special crystal structure absorbs essential oils well. The bath crystals are made by Kneipp GmbH in Würzburg, Made in Germany. Until recently they were sold as "Back Well" (Rücken Wohl); the devil's claw and cajuput oil have stayed.

📋 How to use
Fill the lid 3/4 full with bath crystals, add to the running bath water (36–38 °C) and let them dissolve completely. Ideal bathing time: 15–20 minutes. Enough for approx. 9–11 full baths.

What is devil's claw?
Devil's claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) grows in the savannahs of southern Africa and owes its name to its hook-shaped fruits. For these bath crystals, Kneipp uses an extract from its root, combined with essential oils and deep salt.

How much do I use per bath?+
About 3/4 of the lid. That way, the 600 g jar lasts for 9 to 11 full baths. Add the crystals straight into the running water so they dissolve quickly.

Yes, Kneipp has renamed its Rücken Wohl bath crystals to Back & Shoulder. Devil's claw extract, cajuput oil and deep salt are still part of the formula.

What do the bath crystals smell like?+

Will the water stain my bathtub?+
The crystals are reddish-brown and lightly tint the water. Kneipp advises keeping them away from delicate objects. Simply give the tub a quick rinse after your bath.
