📋 Directions for use
To activate, mix the required number of drops of both components 1:1 in a glass or ceramic vessel – never a metal container. Never mix the full contents of both bottles at once! After the reaction, dilute with water according to the application: for drinking water, Germany and Austria permit a maximum chlorine dioxide concentration of 0.2–0.4 mg per litre – so 1 ml of activated solution treats around 15 litres. For general surface disinfection, add 10–24 activated drops to a 10 ml spray bottle, top up with water and spray surfaces evenly. All further dosages for tank, pipe and shock disinfection are given in the enclosed leaflet.

What happens chemically during 1:1 activation?
Sodium chlorite reacts with the dilute hydrochloric acid, producing chlorine dioxide directly in the solution – you can tell by the yellowish colour and the characteristic smell. The 4% acid is matched exactly to the 25% sodium chlorite solution at a 1:1 ratio, hence the name EinsEinsSet ("one-one set"). After a short reaction time the activated solution is diluted and ready to use.
Which areas of use does the biocidal product cover?
Beyond drinking water disinfection, the activated solution is approved as a disinfectant for private household use, for the food and feed sector, and for veterinary hygiene. On top of that come everyday jobs such as removing odours – overnight in an open glass in the fridge, for example.

How does the set differ from a ready-made CDL solution?+
A ready-made solution is usable straight away, but needs cool, light-protected storage and has a limited standing time. With the two-component set you activate fresh and store the starting materials unactivated for years – no fridge required. If you need small amounts regularly or travel a lot, the set is the more flexible option.

How long do the set and the activated solution keep?+
Unactivated and stored dry, the set keeps for at least 2 years without refrigeration. The activated solution, by contrast, should be used promptly: during disinfection or after standing for a while it breaks down into water, oxygen and small amounts of common salt.

Why hydrochloric acid 4% as the activator?+
The 4% hydrochloric acid is the classic activator of the 1:1 recipe: the same number of drops from each bottle, a short reaction time, no arithmetic. That keeps dosing simple and repeatable, even on the road.

Can I sanitise the tank and pipes in my motorhome with it?+

Why can't I use a metal container?+
The acid component may be corrosive to metals. Always mix in a glass or ceramic vessel – a simple shot glass is perfectly adequate.
