What does the almond oil do in this formula?
Sweet almond oil (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis Oil) is rich in skin-friendly lipids such as oleic and linoleic acid. Used in a shower gel, it leaves a fine caring film on the skin as you rinse. That is where the soft, supple after-feel comes from. Soybean oil and tocopherol (vitamin E) round off the lipid part of the formula.
What does "biodegradable per OECD methods" mean?
OECD methods are standardised laboratory tests that measure how completely substances break down under defined conditions. Kneipp states the biodegradability of the ingredients according to these or equivalent methods. In practice, this means most of the formula degrades in the environment after rinsing.
