Unsaturated fatty acids are important structural components of the cell membranes of the heart muscles and blood vessels. The higher the proportion of cell membranes, the more elastic the tissue structure of the heart and vessels. They also ensure better fluidity of the blood, help maintain normal cholesterol levels and thus relieve the strain on the heart and circulatory system. The two highly unsaturated fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) contribute to normal heart function.

to maintain resilient joints

The tissue cells of tendons, ligaments and joints are exposed to the influence of so-called radicals and peroxides - especially under chronic mechanical stress. Radicals and peroxides are a type of biological spark that accelerate cell death and make regeneration processes more difficult.
